1.3.3. Using the latest development source code¶

Fast Light Toolkit. FLTK (pronounced 'fulltick') is a cross-platform C GUI toolkit for UNIX ® /Linux ® (X11), Microsoft ® Windows ®, and MacOS ® X. FLTK provides modern GUI functionality without the bloat and supports 3D graphics via OpenGL ® and its built-in GLUT emulation. FLTK is designed to be small and modular enough to be. Since version 3.0.0, QEMU uses a time based version numbering scheme: major incremented by 1 for the first release of the year minor reset to 0 with every major increment, otherwise incremented by 1 for each release from git master.

You can install the latest version with pip and git:pipinstallgit+https://github.com/bartdag/py4j.git

We have several tools on each major platform to install Ruby: On Linux/UNIX, you can use the package management system of your distribution or third-party tools ( rbenv and RVM ). On macOS machines, you can use third-party tools ( rbenv and RVM ). On Windows machines, you can use RubyInstaller. See the Installation page for details on using.

Otherwise, to build the Java and Python libraries, you need:

  1. Git to download the latest source code.Execute the command line gitclonehttps://github.com/bartdag/py4j.gitpy4j to download the source code.
  2. Gradle to build the Py4J Java library execute thecommand line ./gradlewassemble in the py4j-java project directory tobuild the code and create a jar file. The jar file you are looking for ispy4j-java/py4jXYZ.jar where XYZ is the current version of Py4J.
  3. Sphinx to build the documentation. Justexecute the command makehtml in the py4j-web directory.
  4. Libraries such as nose to test thePy4J Python library. Just run pipinstall-rrequirements.txt inpy4j directory.

Here are a few useful commands to build Py4J:

  1. cdpy4j-java;./gradlewbuildPython - builds the Py4J Java library in ajar, the documentation, and the Python binary and source distributions. Thesource and wheel distributions will be in py4j-python/dist directory(e.g., py4j-python/dist/py4j-0.10.0.tar.gz).
  2. cdpy4j-java;./gradlewbundles - builds the Py4J Java Library as a OSGibundle (in build/plugins).
  3. cdpy4j-java;./gradlewupdateSite - builds the Eclipse update site (inbuild/updatesite).
  4. cdpy4j-java;./gradlewcheck - runs Java tests, FindBugs, and Javacoding conventions checks. (Python checks will be added in the future).
  5. cdpy4j-python;flake8 - performs flake8 check on Python source code.
  6. cdpy4j-python;nosetests - runs Python test suite.

Evergreen depends on the following technologies Perl, C, JavaScript, XML, XPath, XSLT, XMPP, OpenSRF, Apache, mod_perl, and PostgreSQL.

The latest stable release of a supported Linux distribution is recommended for an Evergreen installation. For Ubuntu, please use the 18.04 64-bit LTS (long term support) Server release.

Currently the latest release from the Evergreen 3.6 series is recommended for new installations and stable releases are suggested for production systems.

Note: Evergreen servers and staff clients must match. For example, if you are running server version 3.1.0, you should use version 3.1.0 of the staff client. Evergreen 3.2.0+ no longer supports a separate client by default, but building a client remains as an unsupported option.

Source Code Repository

A Gitweb instance sits atop the Git repositories for Evergreen and OpenSRF. You can find both repositories at git.evergreen-ils.org. Here is the running change log for the Evergreen code repository: watch us work.

Trac sends code commits to two public Evergreen mailing lists:

  • For Evergreen commits, subscribe to open-ils-commits
  • For OpenSRF commits, subscribe to opensrf-commits
